28-Day Rehab FAQs

It depends on your personality, your circumstances, and the severity of your addiction. In many cases, 28 days is the perfect amount of time to build a foundation for recovery and delve into your addiction problems. You can get to the root of your addiction with our 28-day programme.

However, don’t expect to make a complete recovery in just one month – recovery can take years. Our 28-day program can help you break the physical dependence and provide you with the knowledge, confidence and skills to overcome your addiction for good. We do not eliminate the addiction in 28 days – we simply prepare and equip you for life without substances.

While 28 days can provide a solid foundation for recovery, it may not be sufficient for everyone. Some individuals may require longer treatment periods to achieve lasting results – especially those with more severe, long-term addictions.

You’ll receive the most suited therapy for you. One size does not fit all, so we offer a personalised service here at Gladstones Clinic. We take an integrative approach to rehab treatment – we combine science-backed treatments with holistic therapies to give you the best chance of making a full recovery.

We have a range of therapy options available during our 28-day rehab programme – so whether you need CBT, DBT, group therapy, or holistic therapies, we have got you covered. We may also offer family therapy to help mend broken relationships and improve your support system.

You can end your course of treatment whenever you like, but of course, if it’s not in your best interests, we will strongly recommend against this. We have specific discharge policies in place to give you the best chance of a full recovery. Leaving rehab when you’re not ready can reverse all your hard work, so we recommend staying for your full course of treatment.

If you have concerns about the length of your stay here at Gladstones Clinic, speak with our experts – we can determine the best treatment plan for you, considering both your needs and your preferences.

No – although both share the common goal of recovery. At Gladstones Clinic, we do not employ a 12-step approach. Instead, we use a combination of science-backed methods and holistic treatment, with a person-centred approach. During your 28-day stay at Gladstones Clinic, you will undergo a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to you and your needs, including medication, therapy and 1-1 support. However, with Alcoholics Anonymous, you rely on mutual support and spiritual growth.

Some find groups such as AA helpful after completing intensive rehab/ primary support – these are not mutually exclusive.
