With 20 years in senior leadership roles across the Health & Social Care sector, Stuart has gained extensive experience in the treatment of addictions with some of the UK’s largest charities, and became a CQC Registered Manager in 2017. He is currently the Responsible Person for Gladstones Clinic.
He is an accredited practitioner with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals and has a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care. Stuart also qualified with the British Mindfulness Institute and is a graduate of the ECEtt, European Exchange of Expertise programme in Prague. His is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health
He has completed CPD courses with Yale University Medical School and Université de Genève. Stuart has served secondments and provided consultancy to local and national government, has published two books; the first on recovery and the second on mindfulness and been involved in two BBC films on recovery.
He is a member of AdFam’s ’Lived Experience Advisory Group’ and an independent board member of a large fostering agency.
