What to Expect From 28-Day Rehab Treatment

Our 28-day rehab is the longest care plan we offer, designed to delve deep into the cause of your addiction, as well as explore healthy coping mechanisms to replace it.

With residential treatment, you’ll have around-the-clock care as you go through recovery. To make the process feel more manageable, we break our treatment down into two main steps:

  • Detoxing Your Body: Removing the addictive substance from your body helps create a clean slate when we get to the treatment part of recovery. Detox isn’t always easy, but our care team is always on hand to assist with whatever you may need during this stage.
  • Treating the Addiction: With the detox complete, we move on to focus on the treatment. Here, you’ll undergo therapy, receive one-to-one support, and explore any necessary medications.

During your 28-day stay with us, you’ll have your own bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, ensuring privacy and dignity as you focus on recovery. Our team is available night and day to help make your recovery journey as seamless as possible.

Our Bespoke Therapy Options

28-Day Rehab FAQs

In many cases, 28 days is enough time to explore the root causes of your addiction, as well as build a foundation for recovery.

However, recovery isn’t just a one-month process – it continues beyond rehab. Our 28-day program helps break the physical dependence and provides you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to prepare you for life without addiction.

While 28 days can provide a solid foundation for recovery, it may not be sufficient for everyone. Some may require longer treatment periods to achieve lasting results – especially those with more severe, long-term addictions.

Our team will help you settle on the right course length for you. Whether that’s a 7-day course focused solely on detox, followed by our 28-day rehab to solidify your recovery, we create the perfect plan for you.

We offer a range of therapy options during our 28-day rehab program. Our team can help you settle on the ideal options for you.

Whether you need cognitive behavioural therapy, group therapy, or prefer a more holistic approach, we have got you covered. We also offer family therapy to help mend broken relationships and improve your support system.

Yes, you can end your course of treatment whenever you like. However, if it’s not in your best interests, we will strongly recommend against this.

We have specific discharge policies in place to give you the best chance of a full recovery. Leaving rehab when you’re not ready can reverse all your hard work, so we recommend staying for your full course of treatment.

If you have concerns about the length of your stay here at Gladstones Clinic, speak with our experts – we can determine the best treatment plan for you, considering both your needs and your preferences.

No – rehab is not like Alcoholic Anonymous (AA). Although both share the common goal of recovery, AA and rehab have different approaches to treatment.

At Gladstones Clinic, we do not employ the 12-step approach that AA does. Instead, we use a combination of science-backed methods and holistic treatment, with a person-centred approach.

During your 28-day stay at Gladstones Clinic, you will undergo a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to you and your needs, including medication, therapy and 1-1 support. However, with Alcoholics Anonymous, you rely on mutual support and spiritual growth.

Some find groups such as AA helpful after completing intensive rehab/ primary support – these are not mutually exclusive.

When you’re dealing with addiction, the last thing you want to worry about is the financial aspect on top of everything. That’s why we work with most of the major private healthcare providers.

Gladstones Clinic accepts private healthcare from:

  • Bupa
  • Cigna
  • AXA

Most policies include addiction treatment. However, it’s best to check with your provider that addiction rehab is covered under your current plan. If you have any questions, our team is happy to discuss the process with you.

Your journey doesn’t end once you’ve completed your stay at our 28-day rehab. However, we’re still by your side every step of the way. We include aftercare as part of our basic offering, meaning you still receive the bespoke, specialist support you need, even once you’ve returned home.
