Our intensive primary treatment programme gives clients the opportunity to tackle their addiction while staying in one of our private residences. When this has been completed, many do not know where to turn next, as it can be extremely hard to simply slip back into normal life.
Many of our clients have lost contact with friends and family, have no job to return to and cannot remember what it is like to function without an addiction. This makes it one of the most difficult times in their life, and the temptation to fall back on old habits can be overwhelming.
That is why our care extends beyond primary treatment, as we know how important it is for someone to have help during this period; without it their recovery could face a significant setback.
Our secondary care programme guides you through this transitional phase, providing the necessary therapy and support to adjust to life after addiction.
Clients continue to reside at the Gladstone’s Centre or Secondary Unit, ensuring a safe, confidential and positive setting in which to live.
Every programme is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Our experts will devise a plan that will ease you back into everyday life, giving you the strength and confidence to tackle difficult situations when they arise.
The secondary programme lasts for a minimum of four weeks and will include group therapy sessions in the morning, along with one to one counselling. In the afternoons we will arrange some new activities for you to explore, including college courses, training, sport, music, volunteer work and group tasks. This will progress your personal development, giving you the chance to consider various career and educational opportunities. These small steps will enable you to take back control of your own life, steering you towards self-responsibility.
If you would like any more information on the secondary treatment we offer, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us today. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
